Righteousness

God is righteous. We only have to look at His law to see his standard and that it is unattainable - his Holy standard 10C's + Jesus expansion of the commandments (6- hate = murder, 7- lust = adultery - Matthew 5:27-28)  to show God's Holiness and unattainable standard.

Holiness

God is Holy

Judgment - to come - and where they are going - show them they deserve hell.

Repentance - toward God.  That repentance is not merely feeling sorry.  Romans 7:7

If you burned someone with a hot poker, you may feel sorry and tell them so.  However, if then later you went and did it again it would show that although you showed you were sorry on the outside, it didn't really change your heart.  Likewise with repentance.

Repentance is not feeling sorry.  Feeling sorry produces repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10).  True repentance is where you are convicted that you did the wrong thing, you are deeply sorry that you did the wrong thing, and you make a conscious decision to never do that thing again.  For example if you normally look at pornography, you would make a conscious decision to never look at it again.

However, we are live in the world and we do mess up occasionally - but not deliberately.  It is like having a septic tank with the lid off, you are stirring the septic tank.  Suddenly you fall in by accident.  Would you stay and have a swim in the filth or would you be absolutely disgusted and get out as quickly as possible and wash and scrub yourself clean.  Likewise a true Christian that falls will be absolutely disgusted with himself/herself and will want to be clean.  Anyone else will enjoy the pleasures of sin and will swim around.

For example, if either of the above were watching TV and a scene came on TV that depicted lovemaking and it caused both to lust.  A true Christian would either turn off the TV or change the channel immediately and repent of the lust in their heart.  Anyone else would keep watching the show and enjoy doing so - even if they feel guilty and say "sorry" later.
